Our story

We learned travel by living here.

Future Routes began as a family desk beside Dal Lake — booking houseboats for cousins, then for guests who wanted Kashmir without a megaphone. The same patience now shapes Hajj and Umrah: proximity, clarity, and no false hurry.

We are licensed, locally rooted, and stubborn about hotels we have slept in ourselves. If a meadow is closed, we tell you. If a houseboat faces the quiet side of Nigeen, we save it for you.

Shikara on Dal Lake

How we work

A quieter kind of luxury.

Place first

Itineraries start with light, season, and road — not a brochure template. Spring tulips and winter powder are different countries.

People we know

Shikara men, bakers in downtown, ski instructors in Gulmarg, and mutawwif teams in Makkah are long relationships, not vendors.

Sacred respect

Pilgrimage is not tourism. We keep groups small, briefings clear, and hotels chosen for salah — not spectacle.

Milestones

A route, year by year.

2008

The first houseboats

A family counter in Srinagar begins hosting guests on Dal and Nigeen.

2014

Mountain lodges

Gulmarg and Pahalgam winters join the collection; skiing and valley walks become signatures.

2018

Pilgrimage desk

Licensed Hajj & Umrah partnerships open — the same care, a different compass.

2026

Future Routes today

Eight Kashmir destinations and year-round Umrah, still written by hand.
